Where Poe's works his way of expressing how he was an unrealiable person?

Like I discussed on the previous page many of Poe's characters where unreliable. Poe himself was unreliable man, he lost jobs because of his alcohol abuse and  constantly skipped out on debts. Poe was most likely suffering mental illness caused by all the suffering he had to endure in his short life. I believe he was showing himself to the world through all his works his sorrows of dealing with death, rumors, isolation, and grief that weighed him down during his life. I am sure Poe did not want to run out on his debts or become a drunk, but that is the hand he was dealt. He used these things to create works of art that are all still being read today. Looking at Poe's life has helped me realize Ill never get on a plane and go to Vegas to bet away the money I need to pay for school and my loans. Not that I was planning on it.  Everyone should read some of Poe's works because they not only are mind grasping stories but also a look into what can happen to someone who endures so much grief in a life time.
